5 reasons why yoga is much more than "just" exercise

Yoga has many positive effects on the body. Especially children are exposed to pressure and stress every day at school and in their freetime.

On the basis of the following 5 reasons, we have included children’s yoga in our weekly program. So that the children’s can enjoy their vacation too.

  1. Yoga for kids promotes mobility (stretching muscles and tendons)
    The children spend a lot of their time sitting in front of the television, on computer games or by the homework. There is a big lack of exercise, which is very important for the growth of the kids. The body exercises strengthen the entire musculature, the spine and prevent the occurrence of incorrect posture and strengthen the immune system.
  2. Yoga promotes social contacts and relationships as well as emotionality
    Yoga leads to a weakening of hyperactivity and impulsivity in children and it has positive effects on social behavior. The exercises, which correspond to the age of the kids, relieve emotional stress and strengthen the self-confidence.

  3. Yoga promotes inner strength and calm
    Special exercises are perfect for the concentration before big exams. They help the children to relax and keep calm. Studies show that children feel more balanced when they exercise regularly.
  4. Yoga promotes concentration
    With regular yoga training, children develop better and better the ability to rest in themselves.
    Their absent-mindedness turns into attention. The children become more balanced, calmer and can concentrate on their tasks again.
  5. Yoga promotes creativity and imagination
    Meditation, games, adventures. Everything is possible at the children’s yoga. In every hour is space to try out new ideas.

The yoga is every Friday at 5 pm. The price per child is EUR 12.00.
