3D archery on the archery course
Archery is originally one of the oldest forms of hunting in mankind. At the Hotel Neubergerhof you shoot with bow and arrow at 3D targets. These are life-like replicas of full-size wild animals.
The 3D archery course has 14 targets from a fox to a stag. After a short introduction to the technique, you explore the forest course on your own with the archery equipment. Along the stream, in the forest, as well as in open forest clearings, our course offers a lot of variety with downhill shots, long shots, short distances and uphill shots.
Our Bacher gorge - unique and incomparable
About 500 metres away from the hotel, you will find the entrance to our 3D archery course after a short walk along the Neuberg forest road. From here we start, head through the idyllic gorge below trees and along the small stream, which provides refreshment on hot summer days.
The archery course in the Bacher gorge is really varied and also highly recommended for a leisurely walk along a well-walked path, over bridges and forest trails.
Archery training
Before you go “hunting” on your own, you will receive a detailed training in the hotel. How do I hold the bow correctly? How is the arrow clamped? How do I aim and how does the evaluation of the shots work? We explain everything in detail. You will be trained by either Sepp, our pleasant caretaker, or a Reiter family member will take time for you to explain everything to ensure a safe and above all unforgettable excursion on our archery course.
Facts about the 3D archery course
- Duration of the course - approx. 2 hours
- Basic stamina is an advantage, as the Bacher gorge does go somewhat uphill
- Good footwear is absolutely necessary
- Open from May to November (please note our hotel opening hours)

Those who go on the archery course and walk it with a bow and arrow have to observe some basic safety rules. These are displayed at the entrance to the archery course. Please read them carefully beforehand.
