From the yard to the table – regional products from the town

The Neubergerhof strives to use regional products as much as possible. Many of our suppliers are located nearby and regularly provide us with fresh products. Through long-term collaboration with various farms, true friendships have developed. We are very proud of this, and we would like to introduce you to our regional suppliers.

On the Neubergerhof menu, you will find 100% juicy filet steaks. These come from young oxen raised on our own farm. However, our variety of products goes far beyond that.

The milk you enjoy daily in your coffee or cocoa comes from the Lettenhof. Since 1930, this neighboring farm has been owned by the Rieder family. Three generations work together daily and have seven cows that produce about 90 liters of the finest organic milk per day. Besides the cows, the farm is also home to three pigs, three horses, and around 40 chickens.

We receive various meat and sausage products from the "Max Mann" butcher shop. Their headquarters are located in Hüttau, which is about a 27-minute drive from us. The butcher shop has been in existence since 1984 and has been supplying Neubergerhof for about 30 years.

The mountain cheese on our breakfast buffet is made by the Rettenwender family at the Kirchgasshof, located on the country road towards Filzmoos. The Kirchgasshof is known for its excellent ice cream range. In the summer, daughter Johanna produces about 45 varieties of ice cream five days a week. Since 2001, Klaus and Cilli have been selling their organic ice cream directly from the farm at the "Eisstadl" and supplying the surrounding hotels. Additionally, the Kirchgasshof provides us with fresh eggs from their own chickens. The farm work is managed by their son Stefan and his girlfriend Christiane. In the summer, their daughter Justina takes care of their own alpine pasture.

Furthermore, the nearby Wolflehenhof supplies us with quark and fresh cheese. The farm has been family-owned since 1935. Since 1991, they have been committed to organic farming, and this can be tasted in their products. The Vierthaler family farm is home to about 6 dairy cows, 14 chickens, and 1 rooster, all cared for by three generations.

Lastly, we receive game meat from the Filzmoos hunting community. This game is hunted in the Filzmoos forests and then processed directly at Neubergerhof.

We are immensely proud to source so many local suppliers and regional products. Therefore, we make every effort to utilize the products and animals 100%.

Neubergerhof has made it its mission to highlight regionality, which we have successfully achieved with our own cookbook and the Filzmoos farmers. If we have sparked your interest in the surrounding farms, our cookbook, and the recipes it contains, you can also purchase it online on the Neubergerhof website.
